My name is Coby Thomas a.k.a. Young Flyy and I’m am I very dedicated upcoming artist coming out of Wilson , NC . I’ve always had a dream of becoming part of the music industry all my life. I’ve worked with several artist from around my surrounding area and also performed in Raleigh, NC in the Not Yet Famous Concert 2013. This is just the beginning of an amazing journey of my life. I’m dedicated to achieve what I’m put here for and that’s music. To shoot to the top is my primary mission.
This song I’ve uploaded is called feelings and basically state how I felt from how it was before and how things are now and what’s still to come. My career is like a journey and I’m ready to learn more to help me on this journey. My career like a movie that never ends.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Young Flyy: My name I Young Flyy and I came up in Wilson, NC. What made me decide to be an artist was I always had a passion for music since I was old enough to know what music was.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Young Flyy: I came up with my name from my personality and talent. People always said I was a cool, fly dude. So, one day me and my associates was sitting around listening to my music and one of my home boys was like that S*** Fly and you young with it. Immediately, It hit me right then. That’s how Young Flyy came about.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Young Flyy: I think online music sharing is an excellent method. It keeps the whole world in contact on the same site. It keeps all the fans on the same page. I let people download music that I leaked from my mixtapes making sure they get a glimpse of what’s going on behind the studio.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Young Flyy: Just stay dedicated. Stay on these people man. They got to see that you’re serious for them to begin to take you serious. Its all a part of the business.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Young Flyy: I usually gather song writing inspiration mostly anywhere as long as a beat playing. But the main spot I get song writing inspiration is in the studio. Its just a special kind of feeling when I get in the studio its unexplainable.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Young Flyy: I like for my money to make money. So if someone was to give me half a million dollars and a year off, I still would be investing into my music and rising stocks. But the whole year I’ll still be working on new music and still trying to get every gig possible so it would be like I was never off.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Young Flyy: My ways to promote music on Facebook, Sound Cloud, Youtube, and Reverbnation. I try to get as much airtime as possible also. When my mixtape drop I’m making a few hundred free copies and I’m going from town to town passing them out
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Young Flyy: Tha Grindaholix (The Mixtape). Dropping June 18, 2016. Stay in tune.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Young Flyy: Managing Music, or some type of computer engineering.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Young Flyy: Music is life to me so I set times when I know I’m not going to be busy with music to handle everything else I need to do. But I always make sure it balance out just right. Its all about timing.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Young Flyy: The come up. Fans should look forward to seeing me make it. I’ve been chasing this dream so long and I feel like 2016 is the year. I just got that feeling.
