Smoove Steve: My Story Is Im A Music Producer With A Very Unique, Original And Different Sound. What Makes Me Different Is That Unlike Many Producers I Do Not Use Any Samples In My Tracks, Unless Someone Requests A Remake Of A Particular Song. But My Main Goal Is To Be The Best Sought After Producer There Ever Was When It’s All Said & Done.

Smoove Steve: I Was Born And Raised In Brooklyn New York.
Exposed Vocals: What made you decide to become an artist?
Smoove Steve: I’ve Always Had A Love For Music Since I Was A Kid. The Funny Thing Is It All Started With Music From Video Games, And Then Cartoons. After That Phase I Fell In Love With Hip-Hop And Then I Knew From That Point On That Music Was Something That I Wanted To Do For The Rest Of My Life.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name?
Smoove Steve: Most Of My Tracks Were Described By Others As Being Smooth, That Being Said I Simply Changed The Th To Ve And Put Smoove In Front Of My Name, Hence Smoove Steve.
Exposed Vocals: What was your inspiration behind it?
Smoove Steve: I Wanted Something Short And Simple That Would Describe Me And My Music As One.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing?
Smoove Steve: It’s A Great Way To Network And To Reach People Anywhere In The World Whom Probaly Would Never Have The Opportunity Of Knowing Who You Are And What You Have To Offer Musically.

Smoove Steve: No

Smoove Steve: Because No One Comes Into This Industry Doing Things For Free. I Used To When I First Started Making Music For Fun But Now I See No One Does Anything For Free Anymore And I Should Be No Exception. I Believe If You’re Good At Doing Something NEVER Do It For Free.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Smoove Steve: Actually Yes, 1st I Recommend You Surround Yourself Around People Who Share Your Goals And Interests. People You Can Actually Trust And Are Completely Committed To You And What You’re Trying To Accomplish. 2ndly, Network Consistantly Whether It Be Online Or Face To Face Because You Never Know Who You May Come Across And People Know Other People That May Be Able To Help You In The Long Run. Also Remain Patient And Consistant, And Never Take Any Opinions Personally. Set Aside A Budget For Expected Expensives.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration?
Smoove Steve: From Listening To Other Artists.
Exposed Vocals: What is your usual songwriting process?
Smoove Steve: I Picture A Club, Venue Or Concert In My Head. I Picture People And Imagine What Type Of Music Would Make Them Dance, Knod Their Heads Or Just Enjoy Themselves And Have A Good Time. Another Method I Use Is Visualizing My Favorite Artists Actully Performing To My Tracks, Depending On Who It Is And What Im Feeling At That Particular Moment Determines The Outcome Of The Track.

Smoove Steve: I’d Invest It In My Music But Of Course, New Recording Studio, New Equipment, New Artists And New Merchandise. I’d Continue To Invest In Things That Would Continue To Make Me Money. As Far As Spending I’d Buy My Mom A House, Do Some Traveling And Give To The Less Fortunate Because I Know What It Is Like Not To Have.

Smoove Steve: I Network, Rely On Social Media, Word Of Mouth And I Read Magazines To Find Music Related Sources Of Advertising And Doing Business.

Smoove Steve: So Far Social Media Has Worked Best Because I’m Able To Reach And Contact People From All Over The World.

Smoove Steve: Upgrading My Equipment So I Can Experiment With New Sounds. Finding New Artists/Talents And Companies To Work With, Forming Many New Business Relationships, Making A lot Of Money And Proving That You Can Have Your Own Identity In This Industry And You Don’t Have To Recycle Or Be Like Anyone Else In Order To Be Successful.

Smoove Steve: Im Currently Working On Finding Placements For My Music In TV Commercials, Video Games, Major Sporting Venues, Movies And Music Artists Whomever They Turn Out To Be.

Smoove Steve: Working A NOTHING Happening 9 To 5 Like I’ve Been Doing For The Longest Time Or Trying To Get Into The Music Industry. Even Possibly Being A Talk Show Host For My Own Talk Show.

Smoove Steve: I Simply Plan Ahead And Make Sure That All Of My Expensenses/ Bills Are Taken Care Of. I Then Make Time For What’s Important To Me, That Mainly My Music And Any Other Interests That I May Have.
