Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Yayo; I grew up in Jackson ms and as a lil kid I loved music so much and all my life I just wanted to be a rapper

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Yayo: well that’s just what everyone knows me by mom friends even some of my high school teachers

 

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Yayo: Online music sharing was one of the smartest ideas makes it easier to be heard & I give my music away for free now because I’m not signed yet I’m really just tryna be heard

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Yayo: Just keep pushing pray your time will come God may not come when you want him but he’s always on time just gotta be patient

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Yayo: I just love music period & either the studio or at home

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

Yayo: SoundCloud & YouTube

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Yayo: I’ll feed my family & do things to help others out cause I come from nothing

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Yayo: Instagram , Facebook , Twitter and I’ll prolly go to a club pay the DJ to spend a couple tracks

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Yayo: I have a new single about drop Called “No Relations” soon to be working on my mixtape

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Yayo: Prolly be dead or in jail like I said I come from nothing music all I got where I come from they Rob , Kill , Steal I make music cause it’s positive and its some love I wanna make it

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Yayo: I always make time for my music But I also keep in mind God First Family Second Then Music

Yayo: A Change I Told Myself this is my year I’m bout to put my all into it
