Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Captain Blu: Captain Blu  grew up in Lagos Nigeria  . I decided to be an artist cos’ i have always been surrounded by music as a little boy growing up the church , music is all i know and all i have practiced.

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Captain Blu:  The name Captain Blu was given to me by friends, way back i started writing my own songs, every song i write i must use the word blu,blue bluey on and on , so they started calling me blue boy ,so i decided to keep the name but in a shorter form Blu ,years moved on i decided i have grown and i needed a title so i added Captain to the Blu . now am called Captain Blu.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Captain Blu: Well ,just like the saying  goes the best things in life are free . online sharing is the fastest way to reach people this day and age  so to me it is awesome .

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Captain Blu: First of all be good at what you , and presentation is all that get you the gigs #Packaging .

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Captain Blu:My song writing process start by me picking up a topic to write about , i don’t believe in inspiration i create, i see my self as a painter ,i visualise what i wanna write about .

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

Captain Blu: Well for now am only using most of the free sharing website to get my music across to people all around the globe .

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Captain Blu:Hmmmmm thats a reasonable question there ! Well let me just say i wont spend it ,i rather invest and watch it grow.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Captain Blu: SOCIAL MEDIA ….is the fastest way this days .

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Captain Blu: Yes got new Visuals for my forth coming song titled Freaky and Only you know Jah. which is set to be released this Mid year 2016 .and also would be going on Africa Tour .

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Captain Blu: I would be directing music videos and producing music .

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Captain Blu: Well for now my only responsibility is music .
