Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you
decide to sign up?

Cacica: I heard about you via Twitter friends. I signed up because I
see it as a good platform to relate with my fans and for them to get
to know me a little better.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What
made you decide to become an artist?

Cacica: I grew up in an estate called Huruma in Kenya’s Eastlands. As
for being an artist, I loved music and growing up in the slums, we
don’t really know about talent or even care until someone taps you on
the shoulder like “Hey, you got a great voice. Do something about it”.
and that’s how it started. I noted it as a talent and started singing
in Fellowships, Church until now.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your
inspiration behind

Cacica:Cacica is an initial of my names Caterina Christ. I thought
since am God’s child i can have His name as my Surname so I came up
with the initials.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you
ever give your music away for free? Why?

Cacica: Online music sharing is nice since it’s a quicker to reach
most people. As for giving my music for free, yes and no. It depends
with the person and the circumstance.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any
smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some
tips?

Cacica: First of all, you must acknowledge God. He must come first.
And as my Producer once told me, you must pray for your music. Then
connect with people, there is power in people. And finally make use of
the Digital Platforms. Attitude wise, patience,determination coupled
with Faith.

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do
you handle that?

Cacica: So far not yet, I thank God.

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that
you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

Cacica: I haven’t yet been on tour but be sure I’ll keep you posted.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration?
What is your usual songwriting process?

Cacica:My inspiration comes from the Holy Spirit. after spending some
quality time in prayer.meditation,praise and worship is when He mostly
deposits songs into my spirit. At such times I do have my pen and book
with me and write them down or record them in my phone.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do
you use to share your music?

Cacica:A band website, no. Am in Youtube,  Instagram, Twitter,
Facebook and WhatsApp, for those lucky enough to have my number.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might
find on your mp3 player?

Cacica:Hahahahaha, none.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year
off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Cacica: I would pay my tithe first. After that i would divide the cash
into Ministry, Charity, Family, Friends and me.I have heart for
people, perhaps it’s because of all I went through growing up so
Charity work is paramount.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Cacica: No studio upgrades. Bitz Houz Music is fine by me.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works
best for you?

Cacica: Online Marketing.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists
(Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

Cacica:That would be at Christ Embassy Nigeria with Frank Edwards. His
testimony, his music is just inspiring and out of this world. The
venue means I get to personally meet Pastor Chris Oyakhilome!!!! And
that is priceless.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you
want to talk about?

Cacica:Yea. There is a big song and two videos coming soon.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Cacica: Acting.

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it?
What was going through your head?

Cacica: Jeez! I can’t remember the first one. there have been several.
But it would be Don Moen or Michael W Smith. Their way of
worship,inspires me to date.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities
while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Cacica: I’ve got the Holy Spirit, the Extra Ordinary Strategist, so i
begin everyday with tips from Him on how to structure the day.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Cacica: More songs right from the heart of God to them. Including
shows and interviews and more interactions.
