Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

TWITTER! It was surprising me when I got a message asking if I was interested in a inverview. Well, this is something new and sound interesting, a good opportunity to share my music as well, so I had to say Yes.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

I grew up on Jakarta, Indonesia. I knew and can play music instruement from an early age. Music has been part of me, I can’t say it was decision.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

I have another activities beside the music, I could say I’m a gamers too =)

Yeah.. I played game online. It is basically in-game-name, derived from the word “Aim and Archer” so it become A i m a r c. 

An archer without a target and aiming is no meaning, same as a music that what I’m doing now, this interview, created music, it must have a purpose as well.

 

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Good question, Music sharing it’s like “to create an environment where not just fans, but all music fans could be part of a single community where vast archives of music and information could be accessed, views stated and ideas exchanged.” When I posted, shared music on youtube or soundcloud it could be say that I gave for free.. lol…honeslty a bit dilemma, I just starting in this industry and need support in money as well. I might can’t get it now but to build fans or community is needed too, just believe I might not realize it when it come it will come by itself.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Be yourself, concentrate on the music and keep confident, if they inslut you just take it as compliment but don’t ever hate them. Someday and somehow they would realize it and won’t believe what they’ve done.. then you got new fans and they’are better than ever. Once it done take steps forward.. Conquered the world with your music 😀

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

Nobody’s perfect. I haven’t had any big mistakes but the act what I’ld do it can explain how good I am on stage. The easiest way is just smile =) anyways, mostly they even wouldn’t realize it, lol.

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

I’ve never been a tour, it wasn’t because I didn’t want to but I had not got a chance for it.. haha.

Hmm.. I ever join a group band, I can’t say it was a tour, we did show from stage to stage, and joined on any event, sometimes we didn’t get paid for it.. But it was fun.

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Life..  It gave me endless inspiration for this. When I get an idea I’ld create a draft and then development, this what I ussualy do to my songwriter process. It will flow naturally.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

No. I don’t have it. for now I’m just sharing on Youtube and Soundcloud.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

Bieber and boy band.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

A i m a r c

I’ll spend for long term investments, and will use money from it to buy some new music equipment and software also.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

A i m a r c

Sure.. I have planned for it.. now I only use crude equipment, Groovebox, guitar, bass, and surely PC and FL studio softwarer, it have really helped me in creating music.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Well, Like I said before… Music sharing is the best to promote music still and this interview is part of it as well.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

A i m a r c

haha… easy question for me.. Royksopp =) anyplace anywhere anytime. I like their sound sometime inspired me hmmm… and maybe i could remix all their song with all my own sound style loooolls.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Well, there are so many things in my head, had planned for the new project and prepare for it .. just continue to support me, I will do my best

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

A i m a r c

I have no clue.. I wouldn’t know I’ve never felt it. Making music has been part of me since childhood. Life without it, is like broken pencil, pointless. Hahaha..

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

Simply red! I was with my mother at that time in the shop. She was surprised and said how did you know this? I said it simple but it gold.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

A i m a r c

I have small business to feed family, i just need to set the balance for job, family and music. It would be good if I could feed them from music as well. Life would not be so hard.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

A i m a r c

Hmmm… I couldn’t say already have enough fans but i had one, her name is Saara, and think she could be my Manager someday LOL, she helped me to sharing my music also like telling them from mouth to mouth as well, and got positive response.Yeah!..  

Well, You’re gonna hear more of me, I’ll just continue create and deliver great music.
