Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

 

Certitude: heard about it from my friend, always put 100% to promoting my music so I decided to sign up and give it a try

 

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Certitude: I grew up in Chicago suburbs, first I started to make beats about 7 years ago, I and I thought it would be dope If I put my own lyrics to em, once I did, I got hooked, the more I started rapping the more loved it

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Certitude:  well, im kinda shy and im trying to break out of that shell, and certitude means the state of being or feeling certain, and I want to be more confident

 

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Certitude: its awesome , yes I give my music away free, I want everybody to hear my music

 

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

 

Certitude: be confident, any music you make, know that you can always improve and get better, have your shit A1 you feel me

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

 

Certitude: yes I do, but I keep it smooth, laugh it off, no biggie

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

 

Certitude: no I don’t tour yet, but im planning to soon, when I do tour I feel like its going to be the best experience ever, giving people good music from different states, its gonna be amazing

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Certitude: it usually just comes out of nowhere, I could be sitting on the toilet, could be getting chased by bear, it just comes when it comes, that’s why I never force it

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

Certitude: my music is on soundcloud and youtube

 

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

 

Certitude: Vanessa Hudgens – say ok

 

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Certitude: invest it in stocks

 

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

 

Certitude: currently I use fl studio, im planning on upgrading to pro tools and upgrading my mic and computer

 

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Certitude: all social media, I look for oppertnites for gigs

 

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

 

Certitude: cali and texas, drake and asap rocky. California and texas are big states that I would love to live in, they have beautiful cities, and drake and asap rocky because I love their music, such a nice vibe to their songs

 

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Certitude: my mixtape tranquil will be coming out soon

 

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Certitude: playing basketball

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

 

Certitude: never bought an album before

 

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Certitude: relax, don’t think about it too much
