Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
Exposed vocals followed me on Twitter; this is my first time hearing of them, I saw the credibility they had and what they could do so I responded to their dm.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?  
My name is Braylin Blanton, I’m 21, I grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas; what made me become an artist is knowing that I have the ability to make music, it’s something I love and I’m good at, and wish to become great at.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
It was given to me by two of my friends, one who is no longer living.. My inspiration behind it is the fact that it’s the street I grew up on.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
I think online music sharing is a good way for artists to put themselves out there, it is very successful whether it’s free or not, I give my music away for free because of the simple fact that I haven’t learned how to upload to iTunes or google play and I’m still in a position of getting better; but I will get out and sell singles/mixtapes

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Stay on the grind, never give up, pray and continue to do what you know best and the more you make music you’ll realize yourself or group getting better, so just continue doing what you know and everything will work out fine in due time.

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
We’ve only had one performance which was for coast2coastmixtapes 10 city tour and won 4th place; I noticed I wasn’t as hype and crow interactive as I thought I’d be, but that was only the 1st performance.

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
No we haven’t toured before, but that’s something we would not mind doing.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
I sit down and think about/ write about real life situations; such as things I’ve been through, going through or every day situations; I rarely take the time to write anymore, I’ll just go in the booth and write my verses on my iPhone notepad, while hearing the beat.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Lol, to be honest I don’t think I have any embarrassing songs downloaded, there may be women artists on there but nothing embarrassing.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
I’d take care of me, my family and friends, pay off hospital bills and any other type of bills, but a lifetime supply of the medication I need for my liver transplant, donate, and just save, stack and flip it.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Right now we’ve just been working with my cousin areek eli jah at his home where he has his own studio set up, nothing too fancy, just enough to get what we need done.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Posting on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat or Word of mouth.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
That’s really a hard question for me to answer cause it’s so many artists I like and so many places I want to go, I guess I could say T.I., Lil Durk, or Lil Wayne, maybe in my city due to the fact that it’s rare that you’ll see an artist such as Wayne and t.i. Here; we’ve had Durk before.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
We’re still taking it one day at a time, our schedules are so crazy that we barely have time to link up and actually work on something.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
I’d just be working at Kroger which is actually what I do, I probably would be in college studying about music production and business, but I just work and make music now.

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Yes I do, it was Rick Ross God Forgives, I Don’t.. I was just ready to listen to it.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
We take care of our responsibilities first and our music comes second; once the time comes We handle all out priorities/responsibilities We know We’d really be able to focus on music and actually come up with projects.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
We don’t really have fans so we’re hoping to gain some and become better lyrically, personally, and overall people should look forward to hearing more of R.B.M
