Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

Supreme Slicks: Found the company on Twitter and their page interested me so I checked them out even further online.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Supreme Slicks: I grew up in the south coast of England, spent my teenage years in Bournemouth. I have always enjoyed music but from about 13 I decided to start writing my own music.

 Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Supreme Slicks: My childhood rap name was slickmar which was combination of Slick and Umar. I came up with that because I always liked to do things in a smooth manner. My current name is just a slight change of my previous  name which I felt like I had to do.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Supreme Slicks: I think online music sharing is great, it gets your music to various areas so people can reach it. And Yeah I do because I want people to hear my music and your not always garunteed that when it comes with a price.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Supreme Slicks: I believe that you shouldn’t let anyone around you disagree with your music. If you feel good about your music then go ahead and put it on different music sites for people to relate to.

 Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

Supreme Slicks: Unfortunately I haven’t got that opportunity yet but I would just take a sip of water, have a team talk to get your energy levels up. I believe energy is the key to avoiding mistakes and having a great performance.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Supreme Slicks:I usually just look around my surroundings and write about things that come straight my heart. I would sometimes write songs with my mates around me so we just feed off each other’s energy.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music? 

Supreme Slicks: Yes I do and I usually use soundcloud or YouTube.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Supreme Slicks: I would spend it on improving my studio equipments. Probably go on holiday and make music about my experience.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Supreme Slicks: I am currently working on pre-paid studio but I have plans on building my own personal studio.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Supreme Slicks: I use Facebook ads to promote my music and also getting people to share your music around helps.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

Supreme Slicks: I would love to perform with ASAP Rocky in New York because he has been idol from a young age and he’s music moves me.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Supreme Slicks: I am currently working on a mixtape, Once I get in the studio I’ll be putting in work to finish it.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Supreme Slicks: I would either be going to university or just become a dj.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Supreme Slicks: I always try to stay organised, I believe social media is the key to balancing my music so I try to go online as often as I can.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Supreme Slicks: More music, Possibly a mixtape and an EP.
