Music Review for SHAMAZZ ‘Cliche’

Shamazz Harris born & raised in Detroit Michigan, discovering his love for performing arts at the age of 8. After High School, moving to   Nashville TN Shamazz thought this would be the beginning of his college journey undecided weither or not he wanted to attend TSU (Tennessee State University) or MTSU (Middle Tennessee State University), but those plans would soon fade and open the doors to Shamazz dream career!

Shamazz Signed with a (Undisclosed Agency), that opened doors for him to learn the industry in’s & out’s. Creating Visuals Concepts for music, learning the Industry and the real meaning of  SCARIFIC . Shamazz has worked with many main-stream artist, as well as upcoming artist   JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE ,  MYA ,  BRITT NICOLE ,  JOHN RICH ,  Chuck Shirock   & The Shirock Band  and the list goes on. Becoming very diverse working with artist on  Artist Development , creating  Choreography & Staging Showcases  &  Styling / Imaging .  Shamazz has definitely touched many lives throughout his behind the scenes journey & now currently working with several Top Music Producers / A&R’s on his own HipHop/Pop Music Career. Shamazz whole heartedly believes everything happens for a reason.

Any claims of internet-age rap’s “post-regionalism” only go so far when considering Detroit, a perennially underwritten city for about as long as rap’s existed, save for that one time Marshal Mathers won an Oscar. Like all the most exciting regional rap movements, Detroit’s street rap scene has been steadily bubbling over the past few years; since 2013 in particular.

The city’s been churning out criminally overlooked projects from a bunch of unsigned and independent rappers. But the city’s new wave of artists isn’t actually all that new; it is a direct continuation of the raw, late 90s and early 2000s-nodding street raps groups that helped shaped Detroit gangster rap in the era of Cash Money and No Limit’s retaliatory materialism.

So let’s talk about the realism of SHAMAZZ  and his hit single ‘Cliche’

“coming for ya now the neighbors know my name” “I’m so Cliche’

Overall, this is a grueling listen, but it’s raw, pop emotion contrasts well with the
comparatively light melodic backing, and is compelling from start to finish. If the rest
of the tracks of the album this belongs to match this one, SHAMAZZ should find he
follows in the footsteps of his rap heroes and finds major success.
