Eleyet McConnell announced The Horizon for January 16, 2026. The campaign presents the single as a move toward classic rock, using its story of confronting uncertainty to introduce a heavier direction for Angie and Chris McConnell. Perseverance and self-determination provide the central ideas, with the lyric moving from doubt toward a decision to act. The earlier December pitch and January announcement describe the same recording. A later album campaign identifies it as the lead single and official video from The Journey, scheduled for March 2026. Those linked announcements provide a useful sequence: an initial single introduction followed by its place within the duo’s second album.

Eleyet McConnell are the Urbana, Ohio-based husband-and-wife duo of Angie and Chris McConnell. Their songwriting draws on rock, Americana and roots music. Angie performs vocals and keys, while Chris plays bass. The pair wrote the songs for their sophomore album The Journey, produced and recorded by Patrick Himes at Reel Love Recording Company. Released on the campaign’s March 2026 schedule, the project features lead single The Horizon and explores perseverance, accountability, love and renewal.
