In an announcement sent to Exposed Vocals on August 4, 2026, MTS Management Group presented Billy Ray Rock’s This the Town I’m From. The single returns to Billy Ray Rock’s Fresno upbringing through family memories, perseverance and a continuing attachment to place. The campaign specifically names Tuolumne Street as part of the song’s personal geography.
Its submitted musical frame brings together hip-hop, Southern soul, country storytelling and classic R&B. Memories of neighborhood life and gatherings support a wider reflection on identity: the places that shape a person remain present even after life moves elsewhere. The artist’s account of his own upbringing supplies the substance of this release story.
The campaign announced August 7, 2026 as the release date.
