Alexandra Crisan

Alexandra Crisan’s Cold Betrayal introduces a modern soul and R&B chapter centered on vocal restraint, the aftermath of intimacy and the emotional force of silence.

The song is written by Crisan and Daniel Dumitru, with production by Dumitru and Dan Ioan Plohi. Musicology shared the campaign and authorized photography with Exposed Vocals.

Musicology’s background notes describe Crisan’s classical-soprano training and an upbringing surrounded by gospel and classical music. Her move away from opera was driven by a desire for freedom in phrasing and interpretation. That history gives the single’s restraint a useful context: technical capacity and artistic choice can point in different directions, with the quieter performance expressing the identity she wants to build now.
