Hip-Hop · Los Angeles, California, US · 2020–present
Califani is an Australian-born rapper and actress based in Los Angeles, bringing together West Coast hip-hop, hardcore delivery, and a distinctive voice shaped by her Macedonian-Croatian heritage.
Her connection to music began in childhood, growing up listening to Tupac, 50 Cent, Eminem, Missy Elliott, Ice Cube, and N.W.A. Music also runs in her family: her grandfather, Bogoja Talevski, was a musician and singer in Macedonia.
Acting was Califani’s first professional creative pursuit. She trained at Screen Actors Australia, where she won a schoolwide monologue award as a child, competing alongside teenagers and adults. She later joined the cast of the reality television project Mob Wives Australia and appeared on the Fitzy and Wippa Show alongside Roberta Williams.
That performance background carries into her music through expressive vocals, character-driven delivery, and an instinctive approach to visual storytelling. Her releases include “Straight Like Dat,” “Top Off,” and “Retro,” showcasing different sides of her sound and personality.
For Califani, storytelling is personal. Drawing on her experiences across Australia and Los Angeles, she is building a career that gives those stories a voice through both music and screen.
“I’m a walking true story, and I intend to tell that story in every way I can.”
