Souly Acoustic Signal 4

I started playing guitar when I was 15. My Step-dad bought me a Mann from the flea market and gifted it to me. It was always my dream to be able to play like Gordon Lightfoot. My Step-dad drew out the chords to “House Of The Rising Sun” because there are a bunch of key folk chords to master. I still have those written chords to this day. Ive always been connected to percussion and learned to carry the beat like a conversation. Learning percussion in drum circles and growing up watching my older cousin develop his craft. Following in the footsteps of my Cousin who is a legit musical savante teaching himself piano, guitar/bass and kit drums I was lucky enough to be included in his band as their roadie. After showing my grit lugging their gear I was invited to sit in on percussion and a few of their shows and festivals. As I honed my craft the band supported me too be coming to some of my first headlining shows. As I grew as a musician I began to work with a promoter who saw something in me and booked me into sone amazing shows. I was invited to play for the “Variety Show Of Hearts” which is dear to me. I was out together with a dance troop from Abbotsford that had picked on of my songs from a list of local musicians. Theses girls absolutely blew me away..watching somebody make art to your are is absolutely surreal..i was given a slot to play 3 songs with my longtime musical partner and best friend “Clyde’s Demise” who sat in on percussion. We received an encore to play more..near 3000 people watching us live was absolutely an honor. I was a regular guest on CiTR 101.9 FM on the “Medicine Show” with Jason Lawrence. I played about 6 shows for the Medicine Show and was lucky to play the final show of their original studio and again at the new Studio in the NEST at UBC. I was also a regular guest on CJSF 90.1 FM on “Melodies In Mind”. It was an absolute honor to get to share my music and get to jam live on air with some amazingly gifted musicians from around the world.
Unfortunately my musical career has been plagued by hiatus due to having 16 reconstructive surgeries to my left wrist. Music and guitar have been the best therapy for my hand and wrist though daunting having to start all over again, the passion has never left.
Recently I provided a hook for a fellow musician “Talent Display ” and my Cousin-Brother Aka$h Kahlon created the beat. TalentDisplay freestyled his rap into is IPhone in his parkade giving a killer oldschool feel to it. The song “Stop Complaining” blew up and received over 5000 views/listens in the first 24hrs that TalenDisplay had posted it on his socials. He will be adding it to his next studio album.
I had recorded my second album in my Cousin’s studio and brought the master home to build off of, unfortunately for me my car was broken into thst night and only my Ray Bans and my demo were stolen..atleast they had good taste (😂) . I am now getting back into rehearsals and rebuilding my strength after my last surgery.
I have been blessed with a passion for rhythm and a love for writing and sharing my sound.
