Laura Ainsworth – “Once Upon A Time” – (official music video )

Dallas-based retro jazz singer Laura Ainsworth specializes in giving Great American Songbook era songs a new lease on life through unique arrangements and creative videos. Her new video from her latest album “You Asked For It,” the 1962 Broadway ballad “Once Upon A Time” by Charles Strouse and Lee Adams, features a sensitive vocal/sax rendition accompanied by heart-touching visuals by animator Moung Marma, beautifully and artistically depicting the passage of time and the loss of innocent first love. Sax solo by Chris McGuire. Video copyright 2024 by Eclectus Records.

Bio: The daughter of late, renowned big band jazz prodigy Billy Ainsworth, Laura Ainsworth has four studio albums to her credit: “Keep It To Yourself,” “Necessary Evil,” “New Vintage” and her latest album of fan requests, “You Asked For It.” In 2019, a “best of” vinyl LP “Top Shelf” received raves in Japanese jazz media, promoting Japan’s Ratspack Records to reissue “Top Shelf” as an expanded mini-LP CD in 2021 with warm, vinyl-like remastering from Grammy®-nominated “You Asked For It” engineer Jessica Thompson (Erroll Garner).

Laura has earned worldwide critical acclaim and industry honors.
