About Reduction in Force:
Reduction in Force started when the professional life I’d curated for the past 25 years didn’t fit any more. It was a robust life full of ring chasing and trophy raising, but it had come to its natural end.
So, I kicked off a personal project – a guitar, a voice and a need to see if I could write and record something that passed the ‘test’. My test.
Alt Rock For Now, Not Them – synths and guitars, tension and release, anthemic builds and quiet deafening confessions. A musical DNA that traces back to Ian Curtis, The Edge, Michael Hutchence, Oasis, Kurt Cobain, and, of course, Dave, Martin, Andy and Alan. Humans at the center. Music as the vehicle. Backed by a Gen X aversion to bull sh!t. AI . . . a mere tool.
Ours not theirs.
Reduction in Force is appropriate because that’s what it feels like —cutting through noise, stripping down to the studs, pounding meaning back into a world that’s lost the plot.
