OGP is the union of hip-hop and metal by a group of six Omaha musicians who combine their own personal styles and different influences to accomplish one goal–to play every show from the heart with 110% energy.The primordal beginnings of OGP began in early 1999 when the band formed under the instruction of Ect playing a lighter side of hip-hop. Then in late 1999, a new line-up emerged with a different approach on the music.OGP consists of various members of old local bands, such as Trailer Park, Pizad, Facial Injustice, as well as the impressive skills of an accomplished local DJ known as Cut-DVS. Together, the sound is uniquely aggressive, intensely thick and in your face.The UNO Gateway recently reviewed a show at a local venue remarking, “OGP’s high-energy lyrics ripped through the smoked-filled room and captivated the music-hungry crowd. The band’s stage presence was outstanding and the level of intensity was unmatched by any.”
