Exposed Vocals: What does your band name mean and where did it come from?
Wanita is my first name, the correct spelling for this name would be Juanita as it is Spanish. My parents Australianised it by changing the spelling to reflect how it is pronounced here. Wanita spelt this way means woman in Indonesia.
Exposed Vocals: What are you working on right now?
I am currently involved in various collaborations with rappers from USA and the UK. I am also working on my own music with two Producers, Flynn from the UK and Hermann U from Austria.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Sure, I just laugh it off and keep going.
Exposed Vocals: What genre are you playing?
Hip Hop
Exposed Vocals: What are your plans for the future??
To continue to grow as a singer and songwriter, to build a fan base, continue to write music and start doing shows.
Exposed Vocals: What got you involved in this in the first place?
I have always loved to sing. I started playing guitar and singing in a band at 9, we used to play at local venues. I started having vocal lessons in my 20's and have been singing ever since. Song writing is relatively new to me as is singing in this genre, in saying that hip hop is my favourite genre. I fell in love with hip hop when a friend gave me the song The Real Slim Shady at 19, Eminem has been a big inspiration to me.
Exposed Vocals: How do you feel about the internet in the music business?
I think it's great, it opens the world up to artists. In the past doing international collaborations would have been significantly more challenging. It also gives you the opportunity to put your music in front of people you may not have had the opportunity to before and discover new artists from all over the world.

Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, Joss Stone, Norah Jones, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, The Pixies, Rihanna and Ariana Grande
