The Life of Johnnie P
Johnnie Parker developed his music talent at a very young age and began to put his life journey into words. Johnnie developed a curious mind as to with regards to expressing his feelings on paper and turning it into music. He had experienced many challenges and obstacles growing up in a small county town in Alabama. The population for Billingsley, AL is approximately 144 and for Clanton, AL total population is 8,619 with only 1,642 blacks. He lost his father at a very young age and was raised by a single mother who instilled morals and values in him. His mother worked odd and end jobs to provide for children despite the challenges she faced. After losing his mother who was his biggest cheerleader and life line, Johnnie began to spiral out of control and felt all alone in such a cruel world. He was then only 10-11 years of age. During this time he became fearful of the unknown because his mother was always there to encourage him. At the age of 18 he then became a new father and that changed his entire life. Johnnie knew then he had to make a life for not just himself but his son. This is when he began to take his musical talents more serious. He began to believe that there was hope for him after all that he faced being so young. Outside of his music Johnnie began to work while still pursing and writing music. Johnnie never lost hope in believing one day his music would be heard by many.
