Make no mistake about it Goldie Stallone is no newbie when it comes to rap and the entertainment business. Growing up in a small town named Maysville (hometown of George Clooney) in northern Kentucky Goldie Stallone, LaRon Washington, has a story to tell. His latest release after nearly 3 years absent is a reflection of his reality. His style is influenced by his favorite artists like Tupac, Jay-Z, and Nas although he says most people say he sounds like Texas legend Trae the Truth with his gritty, raspy voice and hard- reality driven delivery. His favorite line about his style is “I’m trying to be the best me!”. He wants his music and his legacy to be authentic, loyal and substantive. “All I have is my ba**s and my word”- Scarface, is a quote that he lives by when faced with how to compete in the current hip-hop landscape. A self-confessed hip-hop junky from days past he prides himself on never flexing for likes!
Rapping and performing since he was 15 years old Goldie Stallone didn’t really get serious about a career in music until 2010. His passion for promoting shows and booking major artist in his hometown inspired him to record, produce, and independently distribute 5 cds.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Mishaps are post of performing. You gotta handle it like it never happened. In A live show people only really realize something is wrong if you make a big deal about it. I’ve learned that you always have to be ready to adapt
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Yes, I spot tour. I have a few mini yours coming up in July and August. Follow me on Facebook “Goldie Stallone” or Reverb Nation for dates. We’re finalizing now so the info will be available Asap!
Toys are unpredictable. Everything interesting! But your life is like Vegas. What happens on tour stays on tour! But you can follow my IG TV and Facebook live and Snapchat to really get a inside view.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Right now I record out of several studios so I can connect and network. So im in Atlanta, Cincinnati, and Up top (New York) mostly when im recording.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
I have a team. If you don’t have A IT (information technology team) its gonna be hard to gain any real traction. So that’s number one! Then my management and I’m almost ready for A PR person but I’m still not there yet.
And of course people like you guys are great for indie and upstarts. I find as many of you guys as possible and build.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
That’s tough! I love so many artist. But probably… Jays in Wembley stadium. Or Dubai because you made it when you doing that!
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Yea I have several singles on all the streaming site. My single Be DOWN IS PERFORMING really well right now in YouTube. It starts Internet viral sensation Lacey Jane and its deconstruct a must see. So im just pushing that real hard right now and floating singles out to stay fresh and not keep to much in the locker.
But I will be recording an EP or mix tape in the next few weeks. Right now we calling it H.O.F #HOF because I am inducted into the Maysville Hall Of Fame and I’m a hall of famer in the streets. Both sides of the coin.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Well I own a few business now. But I guess my dream Jon would be a professional fisherman. I nasty with the stick. I compete in fishing tournaments often and I finish usually top 3 if not number 1
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
Look forward to seeing me moving around in the mix. Making my presence in markets all across the country. I plan on a couple feature projects with major artist and releasing a lot more visuals.
