Music Review for the ‘Track Seven Band’
This is a band that clearly has mastered the art of skillful variation within creativity, and regardless of which moment you find yourself involved in, all of it sounds immense. The track ‘I See You Boy’ seems all at once to be both beautiful and powerful. The vocal performance has a certain confidence and volume to it that is so stylishly presented, it captivates you from the offset – a very natural performance, not strained or forced, not trying to be anything it’s not. Plus, the music behind this is superb, a really high standard of polished creativity and production. It’s a big sound, it has the feeling of being a rock or metal track at times, fused with a very classic and heavy hip-hop vibe.
The drums and the riffs have a slick kind of style about them, occasionally making you wonder whether or not this a live performance – it all feels very ‘now’, very real, everyone involved being completely caught up in the moment, so effectively making you feel that way too as you listen.
The hook or chorus section is immense, it has that big crowd anthem sort of sound to it, again making you wish it were indeed a live performance, on a big stage, to a huge audience that you are joyfully a part of.
‘Doubt Me’ is quite different to ‘I See You Boy’ in terms of the musical back drop, but without doubt that leading vocal threads the sound of the band together flawlessly, as does the instrumental creativity. A slight hint of Jay Z shines through in some of the lines, also the big beat chorus has that New York feeling to it. The flow is fantastic, the character that comes forward with every lyric is brilliantly compelling. The piano riff that smoothly winds it’s way through this track gives off a jazz-like ambiance, but with that big live-beat sound, and yet another huge chorus section; there’s a whole lot that is fresh here, a brand new sound, really exciting and really something to make you want to watch out for future releases and events. A brand new band with some really captivating sounds and ideas.
