Is Taylor // You’re Welcome: from setting up stages to performing on them

I am just a 21 year old worker, I build stages for artists then once they finish i come back and work the graveyard to pack them back up, its all rinse and repeat from there really.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
I grew up in Adelaide its a small city in South Australia, there is a lot of people who live here that are dedicated to the music scene, no matter what genre you are into Adelaide will have at least a small group dedicated to it. I started listening to hip hop at a young age but only really got into it at 15 when i started listening to k dot, it was only when i was rapping along that i liked the idea of becoming an artist. I didn't understand how to make music or how I was supposed to record my vocals, three years later I was talking to my best friend and discovered he had been making beats, then he taught me how to get in the game and now its all up from here.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
I'm still looking to play my first show, the only advice i can give after seeing my mate play shows is just go for it, bring the energy and play your heart out and the audience is sure to love it.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
At the moment i'm working with a USB mic, fl studio, audacity and a headset my brother gave to me. I have come a long way from recording in my phone then editing in audacity. I plan on getting a blue yeti microphone (blacked out) and some nice speakers, for now i'm happy with my set up.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
I honestly want to shout out online forums its a great way to promote independent artists. I also use YouTube and Sound Cloud. I like YouTube the best as you can get really creative with it and the analytics are a big help.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
I'd perform in Adelaide with Kendrick Lamar, hometown show with my favourite artist would be a dream come true.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
I'm currently working on a high production music video for See, i'm also adding finishing touches to my tape 'MIXTAPESANDROSEPETALS'. I'd love to do a show soon too, maybe around august/September otherwise around the time of the Adelaide Fringe.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
I'd probably be trying my hardest to help promote other artists. I'd still be having fun living my best life but i just couldn't see my life without making music.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC. I plan on making as much as i can, look out for shows, merch, videos and of course tracks.
