Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
I come from a little town called Fayette County Georgia. I Grew up listening to all types of music from Jazz music to R&B music to Country music sometimes even Techno so I've always had an ear for music. My father used to always keep records of music from the early 70's and I would listen to them from time to time, so music was always a go to for me. I started to write little lyrics here and there back when I was in middle school (7th grade) to express how I was feeling at the time, it wouldn't be anything off the charts or anything but writing lyrics started to become a way to let emotions show without physically showing them. so that's how me wanting to become an "artist" came about it starts from what's inside.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Most definitely ..I want to give a shoutout to lowkey (Jay Realz) from out Tallahassee. Shoutout to Sensai (Deralph) from out Chicago. Shoutout to Team Foreign (TF) from Atlanta. Shoutout to Christ Meyers (MMV) From out Atlanta. Shoutout to B.S.G. Savage from out Atlanta and plus the whole Y.N.O.T crew from Atlanta ..Love
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
I remember this one time I was performing at Apachee Café in downtown Atlanta and I forgot some of my lyrics I didn't really show it too much because I had to keep it going. I feel like as long as you still have the crowd going your performance will still be a success because everybody makes mistakes but as long as you can patch up the mistakes with something greater everything will work out just fine.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
No I have not went on tour yet but I'm sure when I do it will be a success.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
well considering I got robbed at the beginning of last year I've had to start from rock bottom but I've built back up since then with the music equipment so I'm straight right now I'm back where I need to be.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
I would say right now would be Instagram/Facebook Promotions. Its all about how you network your own material if it gets in the right hands or if it doesn't you know that you made that happen. its a 50/50 chance.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Alive. it would have to be my right hand lowkey (Jay Realz) at Coachella or anywhere to be honest Dead. It would have to be Amy Winehouse anywhere
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
I'm working on a lot of visuals for the music that I have dropped. Eventually I want to put out a movie behind my brand (Kafaunery) called " Kafaunery" The Movie. Me and lowkey (Jay Realz) are working on and album called "BlacK5Day" so be on the lookout for that.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
If I weren't making music then I would probably be more into the graphic designing industry and the film making industry.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
Look forward to more visuals, more Production/music. To be honest you never really know what I may pull out the hat its definitely suspenseful for me knowing I have so many ideas and seeing what it could actually turn into once you put it into play. I want to be able to pull you in or find a way to satisfy you with my art/creativity no matter if you live in Beverly Hills or if you live in the hood. With the art that I create I want it to be an escape from reality itself for a couple minutes to an hour.
Exposed Vocals: Any Shout-outs?
Shoutout to every Artist/producer out here really trying to make something of themselves. Its an adventure I know but as long as you keep your head up high and keep moving towards where your trying to get to everything will work out the way you want it to.
