Ariana Grande Is Headed to Seussville — But She’s Not Leaving Music Behind
Ariana Grande is proving, once again, that she can do it all.
Earlier this week, the pop powerhouse announced her next big move: starring in Oh, the Places You’ll Go! — a cinematic adaptation of the classic Dr. Seuss book, helmed by Wicked director Jon M. Chu. She’ll be sharing the screen with actor Josh Gad, who’s lending his voice to another whimsical world.
The news dropped on Tuesday via Instagram, with Grande posting a behind-the-scenes snapshot of her and Gad in a recording studio. The two held their scripts over their faces, teasing fans with just enough mystery. “🧚🏻 Oh, the Places You’ll Go ! 💭,” she captioned the post, capturing the magic of the moment.
Coming off her performance in Wicked and with the sequel Wicked: For Good set to arrive later this year, some fans wondered if Grande’s shift to film meant she was stepping back from music. But the singer was quick to set the record straight.
“Very silly of you all to assume that just because I have my hands full with many things that I plan to abandon singing & music … !!!” she wrote in a follow-up Instagram post. “It is and has always been my lifeline.”
Grande’s words offer comfort to her fanbase, many of whom are still waiting to hear Eternal Sunshine—her acclaimed 2024 album—performed live. She hasn’t toured since 2019’s Sweetener World Tour, making the wait feel even longer.
While she didn’t confirm any tour plans, she did tease that she’s “working on a plan to sing for you all next year. Even if it’s just for a little.”
The message is clear: Ariana is not choosing between acting and music—she’s making room for both.
“I am having fun. I feel grateful and excited and inspired. 🙂 Finding a balance, between many projects and endeavors I love, and doing it my own way,” she added.
As Ariana Grande continues to expand her creative universe, one thing’s for certain: whether it’s Broadway-level belting, big-screen magic, or studio soul-baring, she’s always got something brewing—and fans will be right there for the ride.
