Andy Frasco’s Growing Pains: A Wild Ride of Chaos and Reflection
Andy Frasco has always been known for his high-energy performances, rowdy anthems, and unapologetic stage presence. But with his latest album Growing Pains, the party-rocking frontman is showing another side of himself—one that is raw, introspective, and deeply personal.
Co-written with producer Chris Gelbuda, the album embraces life’s highs and lows with equal parts chaos and catharsis. The groove-heavy, tongue-in-cheek anthem “Enjoy What You Got” sets the tone, blending country twang with an island breeze, delivering the uplifting message: “Enjoy what you got, forget what you’re not, remember that love comes first.”
Throughout Growing Pains, Frasco opens up about resilience, addiction, and change, balancing the raucous party energy fans love with moments of introspection and vulnerability. Standout tracks include “Life is Easy,” featuring bluegrass virtuoso Billy Strings, and “Swinging for the Fences” with G. Love and Eric Krasno. The album captures the struggles and triumphs of life on the road, the weight of expectations, and the simple joys that make it all worthwhile.
“I wanted to show people how I’ve grown as a songwriter,” Frasco shares. “That I wasn’t just a crowd-surfing party guy in a bar band. This record is about finding balance in music and life—focusing on the simple pleasures and taking nothing for granted because there are no guarantees tomorrow.”
Much of the album was written in Nashville alongside longtime collaborator Shawn Eckels and songwriting partners Chris Gelbuda, Steve Poltz, and Andrew Cooney. This period of artistic reinvention is a testament to Frasco’s journey—from a self-taught blues pianist playing dive bars to the leader of one of the most unpredictable live bands in the country.
Of course, Frasco’s live shows remain a spectacle of their own. Known for blending rock, jam, blues, and hip-hop into a freewheeling, electric experience, Andy Frasco & The U.N. have taken Growing Pains on the road, lighting up venues across the country. From selling out theaters to festival headlining slots, the band continues to prove that their infectious energy and sense of community are what keep fans coming back.
Beyond the music, Frasco is a force of nature offstage as well. His World Saving Podcast has featured guests like Tony Hawk and Margaret Cho, and his passion for mental health awareness has made him a voice of honesty and humor in the industry. Whether it’s leading euphoric singalongs or turning pandemic boredom into a wildly successful variety show, Frasco’s ability to balance fun with introspection makes him one of the most captivating performers today.
With Growing Pains, Andy Frasco isn’t just inviting fans to the party—he’s letting them into his world, showing the struggles and the growth that come with it. And if this album proves anything, it’s that Frasco isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
