Mifarma – Somnambulist
With an otherworldly piano line and vocals that echo like a voice in a dream, Mifarma—the musical alter ego of New York-based artist Danielle Alma Ravitzki—unveils her powerful new single, “Somnambulist.” The track marks the latest release from her forthcoming English-language debut album, Mifarma, slated for release later this year.
Opening in near silence before a delicate piano melody tiptoes into focus, “Somnambulist” builds into a cinematic exploration of sleepwalking through trauma, memory, and emotional disassociation. Haunting vocals hover just above the surface, capturing the eeriness of being physically present but mentally adrift. Composed by Ella Joy Meir, the single is a hypnotic meditation on the subconscious—the parts of ourselves that emerge only when no one is watching.

Somnambulist
I am a somnambulist
Waltzing with the wind
In the darkness of my life
Walking naked, vulnerable
I am your maid of orders
I’ll do as I’m told
“Kiss my hand” you said and so I did,
“Kiss my hand” you said,
“Kiss my hand”, but my mouth was dry
I sat in front of you,
You peeled off all my layers
“Dance with me” you begged
“But I’m only waltzing with the wind”
You slapped me hard on my ugly face
“Wash my feet” you said and so I did
“Wash my feet” you said
“Was my feet”, but my hands were burned
“Tie a rope around your neck”, I obeyed
I’m not gonna die
