Exposed Vocals Interviews unsigned artist Kai
Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
I heard about it from a follower of mine on twitter. I looked at the massive hype y’all got and decided to follow up.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
I grew up in Lusaka – Zambia’s Capital City. Greatest place on Earth lol .
I have always loved music, and i decided to give it a shot after some pressure from my friends and people who heard me rap. And I can say it worked out well.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
What Kai? … Long Story… Let’s just say I need about three hours to explain it … Might let you know on my next song. I like the name though. haha
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
I think it’s great, as an upcoming and unsigned artist it’s an important method of sharing your music with everyone especially in the beginning. And it gives you as an artist a chance to flood the industry with your music.
I do give my music away for free and I do that coz I want to get my music out there. The most important thing is to have people embrace my music so that in the future they won’t hesitate to spend a few bucks to get that new Kai song /Album etc. so giving away your music for free is a good thing if you starting up and hey the best things in life are free anyway..lol
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Be Original, have lots of rich content, keep a positive outlook, be energetic, and never give up.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
I do, I’m human! I just keep going and ignore it .No one really notices anyway.

Not yet but soon hopefully. I would love to share every moment of my tours with the world.

I write about my life experiences and everything that goes on in my life and around me.
I don’t have a usual song writing process, for me its random it can happen anytime and anywhere.
I can be on bus home and witness a fight or something and then I’ll incorporate it with a similar situation in my life and create a master piece tada!! Haha.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
I don’t have a website at the moment, still under construction. I Mostly use reverbnation , soundcloud , facebook and twitter to share my music.
