Watch Jamie Foxx Turn Rihanna’s ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ Into An Epic Opera on ‘The Tonight Show’
Jamie Foxx can do it all. If you have any doubt that the Oscar-winning host of the new game show Beat Shazam — who is preparing a pop-up return to stand-up — is a master of pretty much every creative art, just watch his brilliant appearance on Thursday night’s (May 25) Tonight Show episode for further proof.
After regaling the crowd with the hilarious story about the time he feared Mike Tyson might put his lights out after he did an impression of the boxing champ without knowing the knock-out king was in the club, Foxx proved that his singing voice is still on point as well. In a game of “Musical Genre Challenge” with host (and skilled impressionist) Jimmy Fallon, Foxx turned a Rihanna hit into opera and took the Baha Men’s signature song to the Great White Way like it was nothing.
The game started with Fallon doing a Sinatra-like take on The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face,” which Foxx parried with his Broadway musical rendition of “Who Let the Dogs Out?,” complete with a talk-up about “cantankerous” pitbulls. They brought it together for a Rolling Stones-like rock ramble through Migos’ “Bad and Boujee,” but Foxx absolutely destroyed it with his Met-worthy take on “Bitch Better Have My Money.”
