Valentine’s Day Mixtape (Desert Rain Productions) by Zoned In
The Valentine’s Day Mixtape by Zoned In.
I am certain that this is the most unique and fan friendly RnB mixtape to post in its Genre. Solely for the unique variety of the selection. Zoned In is an artist that has the skills that it takes to contend with all genres because broad range for audience. An artist like this has ideas galore and could possibly disrupt the underground scene with its originality.
You Frustrate Me
Zoned In, an overwhelmingly talented recording artist also a wonderful singer/songwriter, classical pianist, producer and ‘Renaissance Superman’. Hailing from Mesa, Arizona comes to Exposed Vocals with a three track Valentine’s Day Mixtape, and brings with him extensive experience as a musician. With a dynamic musical background in several genre types such as Jazz, RnB, alternative and classical to name a few. At first impressions I was amazed at the amount of unique creativity in his projects and the amount of enormous talent, energy and expertise that this artist possesses. According to his biography, Zoned In received Vocal Technique and Jazz Theory training at The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, (NOCCA).’ Moreover, having personal interests in Psychology, leadership, team building, helping married couples, time management, organizational leadership, writing, tennis and classical piano’, Zoned In will have a continuous stream of creative content to write about and moreover, sing about. Furthermore, not just sing but sing very well. Well enough to rival the likes of Gerald Levert or The Brothers Isley! Some of the best RnB male vocalists that have produced fantastic music from the past three decades! Keeping in mind that Zoned In is a new artist, the descriptive term ‘Renaissance Superman’ is applied correctly. The featured track ‘You Frustrate Me’ is a compilation of honest opinions, and sentiments. From an honest man to his woman. Letting her know that, yes, he loves her. However, even further, he adores her but the problem is “She’s so damn frustrating…” Yet he will be honest and admit that but it doesn’t matter because it’s all a part of ‘living in love’. Admirable qualities in an individual and in an artist. The track is adorned with a beautiful piano cover which is absolutely amazing that it gives the groove a ‘soulful’ feeling has the making for a wonderful homage to couples with similar issues and weather the storm regardless of the trials faced together! Overall, the quality of the track is terrific. The lyrics are meaningful and mist definitely original. I enjoyed listening to this track by Zoned In and look forward to hearing more of this amazingly creative music. There is no doubt that this artist has a certain quality about his music and I am sure that the fans will enjoy listening to all of his music I know I did!
Kianas Song ‘Valentine’s Day’
Zoned In the upcoming RnB and Jazz vocalist, with a knack for the most unique and creative and meaning filled song lyrics in decades. Comes from Mesa, Arizona and has a great deal to motivate his efforts to accomplish his goals of becoming the next great male RnB/Alternative vocalist. The Valentine’s Day Mixtape is obviously created for and dedicated to his lovely wife. Who also obviously has given him so much inspiration to create such magnificent masterpieces? Being ‘well groomed’ in the performing arts is also a added benefit that Zoned In apparently has taken full advantage of. The featured track Kianas’ Song is a perfect example of just the type of bond that the artist shares with his living wife. A bond that has perfection written all over it and the type of expression that a ‘good man’ would share with his spouse. The lyrical content resembles that of a love letter perfectly formulated into verse if song. Unique to its kind as it gives complete descriptions of why and his much she is loved and adored. It begins with a graceful piano introduction that is smooth and steady throughout. The background vocals are sung and blended well throughout the chorus. Percussions are moderate and give the track a ‘old school’ feel. ‘… Nothing but blue skies…’ that’s what you will think about as you listen to this track! Overall, the track has Amazing quality. The vocals firmly stand out and transcend the melody perfectly. The background vocals are beautiful and cause a dramatic chilling effect giving the tune a comforting feel. The piano cover, played by Zoned In is a masterpiece also has a tendency to remind me if church and wedding bells. This definitely a song for lovers and can be used as a wedding entrance song or just a simple dedication to the one you love. By far a great love song at its best. If ever at a loss for words this track could fill you with ideas! I enjoyed listening to Kianas’ Song and I’m sure the world will too.
Prodigal Friend
Everyone falls in love at some point. Not everyone can sing romantically about it. Everyone has issues with their relationships but not everyone can voice their feelings metaphorically speaking. As a whole, Zoned In appears to have a lot more in store for music livers to enjoy. Coming from Mesa, Arizona Zoned In is the next new talent. An artist, classical pianist, lyricist, singer/song writer with the well-earned title ‘Renaissance Superman’ having the qualities if a Super Star. The featured track Prodigal Friend astonishingly gives off the impression of a ‘Freestyle’. Simply put, it’s awesome!!!! I couldn’t help but to smile. I believe that Zoned In is the most talented upcoming male vocalist/lyricist so far. The track entitled Prodigal Friend begins with a soothing piano and jazzy vocals of Zoned In. There is a lovely saxophone cover that gracefully adorns the entire track with periodic adlibs. There is also a periodic guitar interlude that ads some spice throughout the track. However, the track takes a 30 degree turn from the other two tracks reviewed on the Valentine’s Day Mixtape. Nevertheless, it’s still beautiful nonetheless. The atmosphere of a Smokey jazz club or private bar or even a lounge where one could sit and enjoy some soulful entertainment. The vocals are prominent throughout all three tracks and it’s obvious that Zoned In can sing. With or without instrumental accompaniment. The sax cover is that extra special treat I’m sure that Jazz and Blues lovers would appreciate and enjoy. The topic is an added bonus because it explains a feeling with a touch of sarcasm. The kind of love that bares all pain and suffering. Still resulting in a lasting bond. Even though mostly everyone… Excuse me. Everyone has periodic issues and have disagreements in their relationships, not everyone is able to easily solve them. Prodigal Friend is an attempt to express feelings without harming an individual and formulating the right words comes at a price. Specifically mentioning …I’m not talking about you…” Clearly a sense of humor as well. Overall, I enjoyed listening to The Valentine’s Day Mixtape by Zoned In. It potentially can be enjoyed by all music lovers and it’s a delightful classy tune that I am looking forward to hearing on the radio in the near future. Look for more music from Zoned In I’ve got a feeling that there is a lot more in store indeed!
