“the upbeat and energetic electronic-rock edge you’ve been waiting for” Brandon Jeffries – Till Ya Get Enough
Brandon Jeffries brings audiences the upbeat and energetic electronic-rock edge they’ve been waiting for. ‘Till Ya Get Enough’ doesn’t merely begin playing, the whole thing storms to the centre of the stage from the offset. The hook is presented instantly, and it’s one that, although simple – melodically and lyrically – is easy to remember, perhaps even immediately familiar in some ways.
There’s always a risk when using a very simple melody or a basic chord progression, in that there is a tendency for new songs to sound far too similar to many songs from times gone by, but in this case the perfect balance has been achieved. The song is nothing too complex, but it makes its mark, it speaks volumes, and the sound of the artist’s leading vocal is hugely unique and powerful. The rock and roll confidence and slight croak of the voice holds great appeal, and it suits the style of music and the concept of the song brilliantly.
The attitude and energy is refreshing, and, above all else, the feeling the music gives you, the enthusiasm it expresses and passes on, is really valuable. The artist has a sound that, right now, is significantly unique. Furthermore, the professional nature of the songwriting and the production finishes things off superbly.
The performance is great, the melody stays with you, and the energy of the track is addictive and highly likely to raise your mood, particularly towards the end of a long week. Having listened to a number of tracks from Brandon Jeffries, there’s a lot to love about his sound. Part of it is a nostalgia for the indie rock sound of the nineties, and part of it is the genuinely refreshing and melodic rock and pop energy that is not so often put out these days.
