As featured by Major Lazer, rapper TxTheWay releases new visual for “Jump”
TxTHEWAY (fka T-Baby) is an American-born rapper and singer-songwriter of Jamaican descent raised in the city of Miramar,Broward County,Florida. His influences span broadly from Jamaican artists such as Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, and Beres Hammond to American acts like Trick Daddy, Uncle Luke, and JT Money.
In 2017, TxTHEWAY collaborated with Wyclef Jean and was featured on his “J’ouvert” EP and “Carnival III” LP. From that collaboration, the song “Warrior” (ft. T-Baby) became the official anthem of the 2017 MLB Playoffs. TxTHEWAY is also credited for co-writing Major Lazer’s “Light It Up” (ft. Nyla and Fuse ODG). “Light it Up” peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart and became a platinum-selling hit record in the U.S. and Internationally.
In March of 2018, TxTHEWAY independently released his single “Jump” on through his Zion House Music label imprint, establishing himself for the first time as a solo artist.
