Two-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated platinum-certified R&B star Daniel Caesar Shares Video for “Best Part” Alongside H.E.R.
Following his Freudian project from last year, Daniel Caesar has dropped off a new video: the visual to complement the track “Best Part.” He’s joined by H.E.R. as the two take separate strolls along the beach, each trading soothing vocals while their respective imagery contrast the sunrise and sunset as the emotional backdrop.
A gorgeous beachside affair, the captivating split-screen clip depicts each respective vocalist walking along the water. The sun glistens off the sand as the voices entwine despite the distance. Dreamy acoustic guitar resounds as Caesar’s voice carries off into the horizon and H.E.R. simply hypnotizes as she maintains her signature mystery throughout the clip. It’s a cinematic exposition worthy of the song’s luscious and lovelorn emotionality.

“Best Part” stands out as the latest favorite from the artist’s GRAMMY® nominated full-length epic, Freudian. Another phenomenon, it’s already racked up over 66 million Spotify streams and counting.
After recently completing his sold out Freudian World Tour, Caesar descended upon Cochella while quietly building a platform to reach the top of R&B and soul in 2018. He’s performed everywhere from The Late Late Show with James Corden to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert alongside Chance the Rapper, no less, and Late Night with Seth Meyers. Notably, he even attracted the highest endorsement possible, with “Get You” appearing on President Barack Obama’s “Year-End Best Songs list” alongside another Caesar favorite “First World Problems.”
At the 2018 BET Music Awards just this weekend, Caesar joined his fellow R&B aficionado for his role on “Best Part” before they ended with a sample of “Nothing Even Matters” by Lauryn Hill and D’Angelo. “Best Part” is a melody off Caesar’s debut studio album, Freudian where the 10-track project received rave reviews since its release in August 2017. The “Transform” singer’s project also received two Grammy nominations that included Best R&B Album and Best R&B Performance for “Get You” with Kali Uchis.
“The way I can justify how well [my music is] doing and exactly why that is is because I went through it,” Caesar says. “And I know it came from a real place. [Listeners] cling to it; they need it.”
