Syren – Always Changin’

Syren crafts pop passion and perfection with the radiating bliss of “Always Changin’”. Reminiscent of Arvil Lavigne everything about the sound shimmers. By far the highlight comes from those incredible vocals that draw the listener into a swirling soundscape. Neon hued synthesizers perfectly punctuate the sense of lust and flirtation that rests at the center of it all. Allowing everything to simply slip into the mix lets it feel so completely all-consuming. The beats go for a crisp, polished quality. Grooves merge with a hint of ambience to result in an atmosphere that feels so damned compelling. Layer upon layer is applied with a painterly determination ensuring it all shifts in just the right way. 

            Carefully laid out synthesizer stabs introduce the track. Gradually the rest of the piece comes into focus. The groove is given time to evolve coming into bloom in such a majestic, cinematic way. Melodies bounce off each other creating a virtual kaleidoscopic effect. With this take the whole of the piece feels so fresh, funky, and downright fun. A party atmosphere takes over with the groove in full swagger, swaying gingerly. Elements of Justice’s rock/electro fusion play a pivotal role in letting the entire thing become so completely inviting. For the final stretch of the track Syren lets it all hang loose in a most perfect fashion.
