Sintra “Kindness” Official Music Video
Refusing to be categorized by traditional musical genres, SINTRA ‘s music blurs the lines of rock, pop & electronica into a new style made for headphones & dance-floors alike. Influenced by a wide range of artists such as Flume, Diplo, Sia, Tame Impala & The Arctic Monkeys to name a few.
Kindness is a ‘feel-good’ pop-rock song about having a spontaneous unplanned night out and forgetting all your worries and problems for an evening. There is also a narrative that suggests the person’s partner may not be too happy about this night out. The lyrics “have you been waiting at my door all night” and “kindness had the best of me, but I don’t care too much for that tonight” sums it up nicely I think.
I wanted the video to be simple, but give the viewer that feeling and experience of letting go and having a good time!
“My favorite scenes from the video are when the leading character is walking the city streets late at night. I find these scenes extremely empowering and uplifting – like she’s capable of anything in those moments!”

Following extensive experience with many line-ups and projects, the guitarist, & producer SINTRA decided to focus on original material recorded with his direct vision in collaboration with other songwriters, singers & filmmakers to create captivating new tracks & visuals under the banner of
Sintra Records.
“I’d love to do a collaboration with British singer-songwriter, Bishop Briggs, who is doing extremely well in the US at the moment. I’d also have to include Alex Turner and Flume to the list – both inspirational artists for me across two very different genres.”
“I think the most important thing I’ve learned is to only work with people that I trust, can have a laugh with, and enjoy the whole writing experience with. I’ve worked in projects before where the creative boundaries were too rigid, which took the fun out of it and is actually why I started producing, so I could further explore my creativeness across different genres. I also set very high expectations of myself, which is key to making a success of course, but I think it’s equally important to remember to enjoy the entire journey and process, rather than spending too much time thinking about the future.”

When not making new music in the studio, Sintra is looking to take his creations to the stage. “I’m trying to make more effort to be out there performing and meeting all the brilliant upcoming talent on the London scene. I occasionally do a bit of session guitar work and a couple of close friends have exciting projects soon to be announced, which I may find myself a part of.”
“If I’m not creating music, my best day off has to be going to the football. (Please tell my girlfriend!) I support Fulham FC, so you’ll most likely fond me at Craven Cottage overlooking the Thames & singing at the top of my lungs in the crowd somewhere, preferably on a sunny day.”
