Signs Of The Sky -Fearless “a dreamlike quality that carries you along in a gentle yet rhythmic manner.”
This is a really beautiful song, the instrumentation creates an unusual yet blissfully smooth soundscape that falls out and around you, completely freeing you of your concerns. The very best effects of music are the sort that over-take a manic mind and leave you feeling calm. The instrumentation comes through quite unexpectedly in terms of the individual elements, if you break it down to each moment, each sample, each note; there’s an experimental sound to much of the content. However, as is often the case when creativity meets professionalism and skill, the collection has been gathered, arranged, and finalised in a way that gives off the feeling of being surrounded by water. It has a dreamlike quality that carries you along in a gentle yet rhythmic manner.
On top of all of this, the songwriting or lyricism running in unison expresses some of the most natural and overwhelming human emotions. There’s plenty of humanity and realness involved, but the vocal performance has been so flawlessly executed and included that it really just strikes as a beautiful, additional part of the ambiance. The more you listen, the more that vocal shows itself, those lyrics stand a little taller each time, and the various details of the entire soundscape seem to become brighter and more striking as familiarity and comfort increase.
The track has been really well produced, and it means that you can listen any where, at any time, and still completely lose yourself in the sound. The lyrics are fantastic, the imagery is powerful and adds to that water-like ambiance really cleverly. It’s a wonderfully modern and refreshing take on trip-hop and it doesn’t come without the necessary, heartfelt songwriting to really make it mean something. These flickers of industrial instrumentation add further to the character and creativity.
