New York City, New York — July 11th, 2022 – A front act blending addicting American Fusion music for the contemporary times, The Bossa Nova Beatniks are a prolific musical phenomenon. Taking root in Huntington in New York, the multi-genre eclectic collective boasts a number of rousing tracks and Eps to their name, having released 17 CDs to date.
Notable for their moving and memorable lyricism, as well as their creative themes and character, the Bossa Nova Beatniks continue to beguile with their original compositions. The group’s newest album, ‘The-B-n-B-Show’ marks their first ever vinyl LP, featuring a revitalizing and original new take on the genre.
A gifted group of artists, The Bossa Nova Beatniks played their first gig at the Village Gate on Bleecker Street in Manhattan in the 90s. Ever since then, the group has continued to enthrall audiences in and around the tri-state area, performing at notable venues that include the CBGB, The Bitter End, The Nightingale Bar and a myriad of other clubs and festivals.
With their infectious and refreshing high energy mixes, the Bossa Nova Beatniks produce musical fusions that are thoroughly thought-provoking, gripping, and engrossing. The band’s members include several talented individuals from NYRMA (NY Roots Music Association) including Chris James of the R&B band, ‘The Hideaways on Guitar’, Sven Bilberrman on bass, Mike Staub and Amanda Mac of the Rockin’ Long Island Punk band, vocalist “Bad Mary,” Pat Giles on drums, as well as Bossa Nova Beatnik founder, Tom Gould on acoustic guitar and vocals.
With its characteristic instinctual tropical music vibe, underscored by the seductive appeal of the group’s iconic production, ‘The-B-n-B-Show’ is bound to become a hit among audiences. The entire album has been curated by six people performing exactly as they do on stage, without any additional instruments or tools.
