Out of the Box EDM

Meet the band that is doing things differently within the EDM scene.

Last year FIOS (Flames in our Storm) delivered Chillstep, Future Bass & Synth-Pop tracks that already gathered attention for it´s unique style.

This year delivering a Drum and Bass, Retrowave inspired track, and with an EP on the way. Singer, songwriter Nahualli Ana del Cielo from Mexico discussed with us on the influences of the band.

“Last year, I was listening to 70´s Chillout Soul, Bossa Nova that helped me create a vocal style that fit Chillstep music. I was used to a louder & more explosive form of singing. Once having to work with music that was new to me. I had to think out of the Box”

She later goes to discuss of the lyrical concept, that is the signature of the band.

“I am heavily influenced by Psychedelic Rock, Grunge & Punk Rock. The song titles are eye catching & mysterious. The lyrics give you more to think of. Something rare within EDM music these days”

The two producers at FIOS are of a versatile background to. Jan Conrad from Germany is a multi-instrumentalist and DJ. And Missing 欠落 from the U.S. (artist name is Missing) had been a guitarist for Progressive Metal bands before he jumped into producing on his own Lo-Fi, Chillstep music. FIOS music expresses a high on feelings with energizing Bass and lows that take us into a blissful state.
