Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
Navid Satarmaker: I heard about Exposed Vocals on Twitter, when I got direct massage for free Interview. So to check what an Exposed Vocal is, I visit website and amazed that they offer free Interview for unexpired Artist. That’s make me to sign up quickly.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Navid Satarmaker: I grew up in Kolhapur city of Maharashtra state of India. when I was in School I never think about to be an artist. In my state there is one traditional “Lord Ganesh Festival” which people celebrate with playing songs by DJ (Specially Remix) so by listing them year by year an interest developed about how to remix the songs better and better. I search for Software to remix songs, and started practicing day by day i got knowledge about basics such as what is ‘DJ’ ‘Music Production’ ‘Electronic Music’ and also learn self by using internet to playing keyboard and guitar and how to utilize them for remixing and music production. and decided to be an artist.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Navid Satarmaker: I realized that my name itself is rare one. So decided to use it.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Navid Satarmaker: I think for an artist being online is like doom. Sharing music online allowing an artist to share his/her Art piece with music lovers in entire world. I share my remixed songs free of cost any one can get them on website “Sondcloud” “My Blog” and “Facebook”. There some music lovers who cannot afford to buy the music so the peoples like those can get easy access by spending only the Internet charges and Remixing the song is a third-party work original artist of that song have the copyrights so one cannot sell them.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Navid Satarmaker: Yes. In my native state there is no positive approach toward establishing career in Music, but I know it is not right, so I always encourage to establishing career to new peoples in this field. And I always share my knowledge with them.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Navid Satarmaker: I never perform as DJ and Artist till.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Navid Satarmaker: I don’t go for tour regarding this field till.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Navid Satarmaker: My tunes composed earlier make me to write, there is no special process I use for writing. It’s just happens
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Navid Satarmaker: There is no band website of mine. I usually share my song on Soundcloud,My Blog and Facebook.also my music compositions is for sale on websites like ‘Beatport’ ‘Juno’ ‘emusic’ ‘The Amazon Store’(US, Italy, Japan, France, Russia.)
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Navid Satarmaker: There are some. EDM and Bollywood Remixes.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Navid Satarmaker: First of all I will plan entire year for that half million dollars, I will establish a full equipped musical studio with which I can work more efficiently and simply try to make that half million in couple of millions and support my family, friends, and my music lovers financially.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Navid Satarmaker: I don’t have own studio. I work in Home-studio with Carbone 49 MIDI Keyboard, Sony Headphone, Regular 2.1 Speaker and couple of software’s like FL Studio 11,Adobe Audition, Sony Vegas 11 on Intel Core i3 with 4GB RAM.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Navid Satarmaker: Honestly till I didn’t find a perfect way to promote, but for me Soundcloud, Facebook, Twitter, Blog, Instagram are Good for me now.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Navid Satarmaker: I will perform with Martin Garrix, Dimit Vegas
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Navid Satarmaker: I am working on Project ‘EDM Land’.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Navid Satarmaker: If I weren’t making music, I would me computer engineer.
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Navid Satarmaker: I recently uploaded my Album for sell, so there is no buyer found. But there are thousands of download of album I uploaded for free download, this inspire me to work more and more.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Navid Satarmaker: I balanced everything such that my other responsibilities and Music Life doesn’t affect each other
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2015?
Navid Satarmaker: I am working on some projects so my fans should be look forward to ‘EDM Land Album’ And one Pop and Electro-House Album.
