New Interview with Dalimore
Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
I Heard about “Exposed Vocals” through Twitter and the great work they do.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
It all started when I was 8 years old. I used to sing in my bedroom and keep it to myself because I actually didn’t know I could sing. I just thought I sounded like an artist that I liked at the time. Anyways long story short I started Dalimore as I wanted write and explore myself as an artist.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Dalimore is named after one of my friends. Its his second name. I like the sound of it so I thought to go with it.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
I think an online presence is vital in the current Industry. Yeah I often offer people free downloads or competitions where people can get a hold of our stuff for free. I think its very important communication with your fans and giving them a free download is like saying thank you for the support. Totally behind that.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Keep positive. Prepare for knockbacks. I’ve had so many in my life. “Don’t ever give up on the dream because if you do, it will never come true”. That’s my motto in life J
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
We are all Human beings so we are gonna make mistakes. Ive made a lot. I think its how you deal with it that matters. I just pretend like its never happened and carry on.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Touring is a funny thing. I’ve had many hilarious experiences. One of them was playing a festival in Blackpool. We thought it was going to be a massive stage and it turned out to be a castle from a Disney movie. Very funny at the time. It was a great gig though. Audience was brill and we secretly all loved the stage ;).
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
I write from the heart as cheesy as it sounds. I write about experiences that I’ve had, and what my friends have had. I always stay true to myself when writing my material

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Firstly, give a lot to charity, Take my friends on holiday. Treat my family, maybe a car haha
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Nah, nothing planned yet.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
I’m currently looking at my options on gigs and going to places where there is a demand. I really like traveling so happy to play anywhere
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Im currently in the studio working on a few new songs that will be released in very near future
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
I’m a trainee teacher so I would probably teaching at a school.
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Coldplay Parachutes. I’m a massive fan
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
It’s a struggle but I’m very passionate about what I do.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Bigger and Better things. I’m extremely excited to perform next year and meet loads of new people.
