‘My Recipe’ by Decypher
Decypher is a 17 years young aspiring new hip hop, writer, and astounding rap artist with a whole lot of potential. Three weeks into the game, he has an ax to grind and is ready to soak his feet and get them wet in the world of hip hop and underground rap.
Suffering from ADHD and severe anxiety disorder, moreover, having a troubled past and disagreements along with not being able to fInd ‘common ground’ with family, problems with school and run-ins with law enforcement, which would in some cases have a negative effect in the life of those afflicted.
However, in Decyphers case it has given him the positive motivation and drive that it takes to come up with dope rhymes and sick lyrics along with the desire to want to display his creativity constructively. Having an 80’s vibe, the track entitled ‘My Recipe’ is Decyphers first single and its an outstanding start. “Music seems to be the only way to explain myself and to feel heard. I’m definitely going to keep going cause this makes me happy and I seem to be a natural.”
Getting into the game with some fresh ideas and a brand new mindset makes this artist want to share some of his lyrical genius. Everyone is good at something you just have to find that niche. It appears that Decypher has found his. ‘My Recipe’ is well versed and has a format similar to that of old school rap however, there is nothing old school about it. Decyphers deep baritone vocals radiate throughout the track with a continuous flow of steady lyrics.
The instrumentals laid down under the vocals are mellow enough and allow listeners to hear the lyrics as well as enjoy the music. Overall, taking into consideration that Decypher is a new Rap artist and this is his first recording I would have to say well done!
Furthermore, since he is now in the game on a professional level and ready to taking his talent and skills on another level. Look forward to expecting more innovative music from Decypher in the near future.

Interview with Decypher:
Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
Decypher: Googled music exposure and you guys popped up! Signed up because I liked the concept of the website. Haven’t regretted a thing.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Decypher: Grew up in Brampton, Ontario. I just recently discovered I have adhd and severe anxiety. I dropped out of school so I could deal with myself for a bit. In the meantime I discovered that making music lets me vent. Its my passion and rapping makes me feel at home, anywhere.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Decypher: My name is danny, so D+cypher makes sense.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Decypher: Id give my music up for free, but would like some monetary support from people who want to see me grow. I think online music sharing lets you share your music around the world, so its good for exposure.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Decypher: Not yet.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Decypher: Mistakes are how I learn. No matter how much you plan ahead, actually doing is the only way to master it.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Decypher: Nope I’m not that big yet, but Id be willing!
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Decypher: I find a nice instrumental and listen to it a couple times. Then I make up bars as it goes.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Decypher: Youtube @decypher music
Soundcloud @decyper (decypher wasn’t available)
And N1M @decypher
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Decypher: Nope, id play anything.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Decypher: Id work on making my music more professionally. Id get a car too.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Decypher: Actual recording equipment! I need a producer willing to partner.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Decypher: I think live shows are the best way because you can connect with the audience. You get the vibe while you rap which makes it even better.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Decypher: Jesus Christ
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Decypher: Just going to keep making songs!
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Decypher: Probably selling meth, or college.
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Decypher: Green day! I memorize the whole thing. Still one of my favourite bands.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Decypher: I just do it.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2015?
