Music Review for WicoSanii’s – Precious Love
The piano and the light natured beat backing up this song create a really easy going and easy to listen to musical ambiance. The vocal placed within the mix to bring out the lyrics and the meaning of the song is really well fused within this formula. There’s a light scattering of reverb in all areas, so the effect is a fairly dreamlike piece of music, the harmonies and the performance style in general is in further keeping with this whole mood.
In terms of song writing, it’s a gentle song, with a very gentle melody, but it’s one that stands out. Once you’re about two thirds of the way into the piece you really become familiar with that sound and those notes, a good point at which to realise that the lead vocal singing throughout is a pretty unique one. The music has a very trip-hop sort of sound to it, on the minimal edge of course, so it’s really pleasant to just let play. The vocal and the lyrics take it in more of a singer-songwriter direction slightly, as it’s very personal, yet at the same time it’s something that many people could relate to.
The whole thing has been mixed well, the atmosphere created by it as a complete track is effectively calming, and the lyrics are relevant to many but still loaded with a fair bit of character and individuality. The style chosen, on the whole, has a lot going for it, and with the addition of just a few more songs the artist will have built up a brand new direction within which to take music, and one that audiences could hereafter recognise as beings theirs. It’s always a strong move to stick with whatever you create naturally, rather than aim for something too far outside of yourself. This way, no one else will have made anything too similar, it will always be unique.
