Music review for NaturalHabits new track ‘Sing to You’
I can confidently say that the Milwaukee music scene of today is infinitely more exciting and supportive than the one of yesteryear. The bands are better, the crowds are better, and the coverage is better. The number of current artists that consistently release and perform top-shelf music in all genres never ceases to amaze me. (Your mileage may vary, Milwaukee music lifers.) Sure, there are plenty of great bands and venues that will be forever missed, but by and large, the Milwaukee music scene is in a much better place in part thanks to great artists like Javone Shaw or better known by his stage name NaturalHabits.
Lyrically, it complements the tenderness of the music:
“I don’t want things changing from “a want” to “a need” / this fashion gives you greed”
After a short bridge, it builds to the repeated memorable hook:
“I wish I could sing to you…”.
A subtle beat enters on the second verse, with some sick melodies interweaved throughout.
My only criticism would be that it’s a bit short for a radio single at under three minutes. Yes, I say radio single because we at Exposed Vocals have this track queued for FM Radio Play in Atlanta, GA on KISS 104.7 FM.
Overall, this is a high impressive track from someone whose various talents are comparable to someone like Pharrell Williams. NaturalHabits is a touching ballad that has been flawlessly performed and produced, and so is perfect to take to commercial radio. A definite star in the making.
