Music Review – Bio’s Form – Line V
This track has so much creative planning and expression within it, from the moment you press play, right to the very end – it’s like an immense work of art, a short film even, with so much going on to build that intense and orginal arena of sound. It’s creepy, massively so, and powerful – a little like waiting in the queue for some insane new theme park ride. When the beat comes it’s got this eery sense of peace and calmness to it, which is comforting, but you know you can’t really trust it – the sound scape continues, the haunting music bounces from every wall in the room, the harrowing noises collide with each other as the beat and the music step forward into the limelight. It’s an incredible track, really cleverly put together, minimalist in some ways, but packed full of drama and art in many others.
As the music, the bass line and the beat, start to fill out the space within the track, you feel this intense wave of elation – you can’t help but be dragged right into the centre of the sound. You have to turn it up as loud as possible, whether through headphones or on your speakers, and it has this effect of making you feel completely in love with the music, and yet at the same time, slightly terrified of it. I love this kind of creativity within instrumental music, the kind of producers who are musicians, artists – painting this immaculate wall of art for you to spend your time staring at, examining every little corner and sound, interrogating every little element, and playing the whole thing over and over again to make sure you understood it.
Absolutely fantastic, I’m a fan, I want to hear more of this kind of music and I’d be keen to see any accompanying videos – though I’d hope they don’t collide with the scenes built up in the mind when listening. This is music with the precise power of music, as it should be, where the sound has the strength – not the image or the spoon fed visuals. One of the rare occasions when a twelve minute track earns every second of it’s airtime. Not a moment wasted. Really brilliant, I’ll be listening again and again to this.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW:
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Guram Bio’S Form Vardoshvili: I was born and grew up in a very small industrial town Rustavi near to the Capital of Georgia. I was graduated from high school and haven’t received any formal education in music. I´m utterly obsessed with electronic music since 1994 – 95 and I´m becoming increasingly fascinated with it. Since that time I was dreaming to create something valuable in electronic music. In 2002 I started to work in the radio where I discovered how to make electronic music and I fell in love with it. I realised this was what I wanted to do most of all . But I had no ambition to do this for commercial purposes. Only just for me. I introduced FL Studio in 2004 and I got heavily involved in it. After that I used that software systematically for fun and relaxation. My basic profession is a graphic desighner and digital artist and I always worked with my profession. Music was always a way of self-expression and entertainment for me. For the last two, three years I’m trying to publish my work for public. All I can say about myself is that I´m not afraid of experiments which you can feel in my work. At the same you will find the order and the absurdum in my tracks. I’ve found the niche of my music and I’m sure my sound is completely unique, it sounds like nothing else but expression of my deep creative power. Sound and visualisation is everything I’m composed of.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Guram Bio’S Form Vardoshvili: Actually everything is very simple. I’m a gamer. In 2008 I was totally shocked when I played one of the video games masterpieces ”BioShock”. All the emotions I get from the Art is considered at the biological level. I mean Biological shock. So ”Bio” comes from the video game’s title. I used ”BioShock” for a long time as my name in Social networking. One day when I was drawing something I realised that I need my own logo which belongs only to me. Everything in this Universe has its shape and form. So I found a word ”form” and decided to unite both of them as my identity. With time it becomes so organic and familiar to me that maybe one day I can’t remember the origin of it. But I know it’s me. Influences and inspirations is very important for the Artist.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Guram Bio’S Form Vardoshvili: I think it’s the easiest way to promote yourself. As I am a begginer in the music Industry, I can’t talk much about commercial purposes right now. Art belongs to everybody and should be available for everyone who loves despite having money or not. But in every artist’s life there is a moment when he/she chooses the way of his/her life how to live. Making art as a hobby or career. In my opinion the Artist should make living by art to be more concentrated on it. So he/she needs income. I gave my music many times for free but in the future I’ii also sell it because nobody is going to work for free forever. If there were not accessible art for free I wouldn’t be who I’m and what I’m doing today. Sharing is caring.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Guram Bio’S Form Vardoshvili: The process is very simple. I never know what I’m making. Generally, I don’t even know in what genre I work and what will be the result. Just start by hitting the key and catch the melody from inside. The inspiration may be everything: the visual side of something, colour, liquid, the voice of the train or bird chirping sounds. All natural sounds we can hear. As a beginner I’m in the process of finding myself.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Platforms on social network and with help of my friends, acquaintances. I’ve never had face to face interaction with someone for promoting my music and etc.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Guram Bio’S Form Vardoshvili: Well, I’m working hard every day. Sounds are everywhere and in everything. But we don’t often give them much attention. I try to bring up the sounds hidden under all process. I’m sure it will be very interesting. I have new plans and many ideas. During my 34 years of living I’ve always been looking for something new and unique and that’s my internal desire of being improved. I try to use sounds, give them energy and make it dynamic. There is a big amount of growing power inside me and strength of will. Now I attempt to synthesize the sound of symphony orchestra with electronic sounds. It’s very experimental and ineresting at the same time. I love making experiments. I gain much experience and knowledge in this field. It’s my distinguish feature not to be ordinary.
