Music Review and Exclusive Interview with Young Rico
Dating back to rap’s early days, when the Englewood-based Sugar Hill label produced hits like the Sugarhill Gang’s ‘ Rappers Delight” and continuing with other success stories such as “Queen Latifiah” “The Fugees” and “Naughty by Nature” — New Jersey’s impact on hip-hop is undeniable.
Though it’s been a few years since a local emcee has made it to the mainstream…
So let’s talk about some fresh new talent.. Young Rico… He brought it back to 1992 with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You’ in the background of his hit single ‘ Chemistry” while his lyrical ability is flawless, spitting fast, slow, weaving in and out of pockets and delivery true raw Hip Hop to the people of New Jersey.
Overall, the track could use some professional mastering but has amazing potential as Young Rico’s top-notch lyricism and delivery is on point.
Check out ‘Chemistry’ below along with our exclusive interview with Young Rico.
