Music and interview with Mammoth Seed
Mammoth Seed play dirty rock n’ roll, coming together from their love of monster sized rigs, denim vests and the art of the riff.
Tired of the bloated, stagnant modern rock cliché, this Hamilton, Ontario four piece have no holds barred. From their hair flying, head banging, high
energy live shows to their signature heavy rock tunes with a unique sludgy psychedelic feel while keeping true to their classic rock roots. They have an EP and album under their belt that captures all the raw angst and grit they create.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
[Mammoth Seed]:I grew up in a small Southern Ontario town, as a kid seeing Alice Cooper live for the first time and becoming obsessed with 80’s Hardcore punk (Black flag, minor threat ect.) i was never the same after that.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
[Mammoth Seed]:My guitar player (Andy Dmytryshyn) and i tag teamed this one, to us it means a large growing experience that something such as a band constantly goes through.

[Mammoth Seed]:Id rather be heard than paid.

[Mammoth Seed]:We’ve done a few runs and actively gig across Ontario,We had just bought a van and we didn’t have time to put a back seat in it before we left on a run so three of our boys had to sit on the floor of the van among all the gear the entire week but at least we didn’t get pulled over.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
[Mammoth Seed]:Our music usually comes from constantly playing and writing as much as possible, even if its shit it still gets the juices flowing, there is no specific process for us if someone has an idea lets hear it and we go from there.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
[Mammoth Seed]: https://www.facebook.com/mammothseed, you can hear our music on most social media and sharing platforms, sound cloud, band camp, you tube ect.

[Mammoth Seed]:I am one of the people who still buys CD’s and doesn’t own an mp3 player.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
[Mammoth Seed]:I would build a studio way up north in the woods and record music, a year off would just allow me to focus on doing that.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
[Mammoth Seed]:New monitors are next on the list, just running cubase and a focusrite interface for home demos.
