Maliibu Miitch releases smoldering new visuals for “Let’s Be Honest”
Maliibu Miitch has released a new single, “Let’s Be Honest.” It comes with a new video directed by Offjimmer in which the South Bronx rapper raps in an abandoned warehouse and surrounded by mannequins.
On the slow-burning track, the South Bronx rapper lashes out at her haters and fake friends who are jealous of her success. “Let’s just fuckin’ be honest, you ain’t nothing but a fan of mines,” she spits on the chorus. “Let’s just keep it a buck that you ain’t never been a friend of mines.”
The song arrived with a smoky, dimly lit video in which Miitch sits alone in a warehouse penning a statement, rapping her pointed bars straight to the camera.
Last year, Maliibu Miitch teamed up with Charli XCX and Brooke Candy for the song “XXXTC.” Earlier this year, she shared “Double O.” Maliibu Miitch stormed onto the scene with the release of her first EP, Hood Foreign, in 2013.
Since then, Maliibu has gone on to release several singles and mixtapes, including the highly celebrated, Top 5, which was an ode to her favorite rappers: Lil’ Kim, Foxy Brown, Lauryn Hill, Eve, and Missy Elliott. Maliibu has been featured in The Fader, I-D, Paper, and more.
