Mac Duddy$outh – Money On The Floor “a strong piece of hip hop and there’s a just enough of that freshness to make it matter.”
Money On The Floor showcases the leading artist’s fairly characterful vocal style and offers a bit of a fusion of classic hip hop and a slightly more trip-hop inspired musical backdrop. The music is easy going, the beat has a lightness about it, and the rhythm of the performance fits well with the rhythm of the track on the whole. It’s a strong piece of hip hop and there’s a just enough of that freshness to make it matter.
The rhythm in this case is the driving force behind the energy of the track, and the rhythm is on form – particularly the vocal flow. In actual fact, many of the lyrics reach out as clever, the wordplay has strength, and much of the storytelling seems to tie in well with the character and underlying personality of the whole sound. The power of the flow and the musical rhythm has value and hopefully that will bring listeners back again and again to seek out more music and vibes from the artist behind it.
The track for the most part has a great musical make up. The energy is effective, that rhythm, as mentioned, is a huge selling point. The whole thing has been brilliantly produced and even offers a pretty memorable hook. You take the sound of the track away with you after listening, an important and valuable effect that is occasionally overlooked in independent music. The confidence of it all as well brings more of that classic, vintage, real hip-hop to the centre of the stage, and in general it makes the music more intriguing and believable.
