Lil’ 6 – Lil’ 6 x PT.2 [Music Review and Exclusive Interview]
Lil’ 6 goes for an eerie atmosphere with the confessional “Lil’6 x PT.2”. Done with the utmost of style, the flow has a fantastic hard edge to it. Lyrics go for a sort of surrealism, while they unfold in such unexpected unusual ways. His highly articulate emotive vocal delivery result in a compelling kind of unique poetry. A creepy sort of melody weaves its way across the entirety of the track further emphasizing the shadowy, mysterious aura to it. Nimble beats neatly drive the entire thing forward with a tremendous amount of power.
A toy box melody introduces the piece helping to set the mood. Quite quickly Lil’ 6 messes with the tempo, increasing it until it becomes a near blur. Upon the vocals coming into the track, the piece blooms with darkened hues radiating out from every angle. No light comes into the mix for the way Lil’ 6 makes sure that the way song has a great deal of tension and anxiety. Rhythms keep moving faster and faster, allowing for the song to gain a hypnotic quality of sorts. The buildup of the track feels particularly natural, for Lil’ 6 ensures that everything feels outright overwhelming at times. For the final stretch Lil’ 6 lets the whole simply melt away into the infinite.
With “Lil’ 6 x PT.2” Lil’ 6 explores a dimly underworld sort of style, allowing for a unique universe to come into focus so gracefully.
