People who don’t like you will always find a reason to dislike you, no matter how stupid that reason may be. Larina Doreen illustrates this effect in her new visual ‘Clap Back’ Feat. Hollyhood Tay. We asked Larina about this in an exclusive interview and she states:

“The key concept to understand about the video is that I’ve done nothing to them but somehow they still end up on the ground.”

Exposed Vocals: Hey, Larina! Welcome Back. I see you’ve been busy with a new single titled ‘CLAP BACK’ Feat. Hollyhood Tay – you want to tell us a bit about the video?

Larina: Absolutely, This video begins where I’m walking and I happen to stumble upon a group of people on the ground. What you don’t know is that these people represent haters and/or enemies. The key concept to understand about the video is that I’ve done nothing to them but somehow they still end up on the ground.

Exposed Vocals: Can you tell us a bit about the Video concept?

Larina: This video sheds light to the fact that as individuals we don’t have to stress over many of the issues and battles that we face in life because God is in control and he can fight our battles for us if we just leave it in his hands.

Exposed Vocals: This is a unique video, where did you get the idea for this?

Larina: For a while I kept saying I wasn’t going to do a music video to the song, but then one morning I was listening to the song again and I just started seeing the visual in my mind. At that point I told my management and everyone in my circle what I was thinking so we could set up a date, place, time etc.

Exposed Vocals: What is it like working with HollyhoodTay?

Larina: Tay is awesome and her flow is incredible, when I finished creating the song, I said to my team “I know exactly who I need on this track”. I could hear her vocals on the song before I had even asked her. So I hit her up and she was like “send it to me”. After she asked about my vision for the song, she sent it back within the next week or so completed and dope.

Exposed Vocals: Let’s talk about the song. Tell our readers a bit about that

Larina: The song is titled “CLAP BACK”. Clap back is a slang that is used when either someone is about to retaliate and/or make a comeback. I love to write music that many can relate to and take concepts from some of the terms that we often use for fun and give it a cool twist.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a release date yet?

Larina: Yes, the full song will be released on December 14th. So definitely follow my SoundCloud page (Larina-Doreen) and be ready to blast this song on repeat.
